Re-Elect
Arin Thrower
for DUNDEE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISOR
During my next term as Dundee Township Supervisor, I will:
Ensure Dundee Township remains financially stable while managing your tax dollars responsibly (no proposed tax increase referendums)
Preserve and protect our 1000 acres of open space lands
Continue to serve all residents through our assistance programs while enhancing our Mental Health Board
Why I’m Running
What We’ve Achieved
When I took office in May of 2021, the financial health of the organization was not stable, there was no plan to sustain programming, the Mental Health Board was non-functional, and the management of the office was disorganized.
Since that time, our team has been hard at work and every department has seen positive improvements.
FINANCES STABILIZED We’ve cut out wasteful spending and have streamlined our finances, resulting in an appropriate reserve fund.
SERVICES ENHANCED We completed a needs assessment and studied other local Mental Health Boards to determine the appropriate amount of funding for our Dundee Township Mental Health Board. These actions have directly resulted in our residents receiving the care they need in the areas of mental health, addiction, and disability services.
RELATIONSHIPS STRENGTHENED We’ve eliminated financial liabilities surrounding our open space lands, while partnering with our volunteers and the newly created Friends of Dundee Natural Areas to make great strides in preserving and protecting these beautiful spaces.
AMENITIES IMPROVED We’ve added a fence for safety around our East Township Cemetery, installed ADA friendly entrances at our office building and at Library Springs, and improved our relationships with local municipalities and agencies.
STRATEGIC PLANNING I’ve worked with each of our Township departments over the last four years to create new procedures and policies, resulting in a more stabilized budget while creating a healthier work environment.
Where We’re Headed
NO NEW TAXES By continuing to collaborate with staff and local partners, I am focused on continued financial stability for the Township.
SERVE ALL RESIDENTS I will support existing services and programs while advocating for our most vulnerable residents (General Assistance, Emergency Assistance, Ride in Kane).
PRESERVE OPEN SPACE I will work with our open space team and volunteers to prioritize and fund important land preservation and restoration projects.
TRANSPARENCY I will continue to increase public access to the work of the Township, increasing accountability in local government.
